Incanto's Italian leather sectionals are modular, which is the reason people buy them and the reason people get stuck. Every piece — armless seat, corner, chaise, bumper, console, recliner — is sold separately, so the sectional you end up with is whatever configuration you choose. Here's how we walk customers through it at Bova's showroom in Dallas.
Step 1: Measure the room, not the sofa
Measure the wall (or the floor space, if the sectional floats) where the long side will go, and the depth available for the short side or chaise. Then subtract walking room: 30 inches minimum for a main path, 18 inches between the sectional and a coffee table. Write down two numbers — the maximum length and the maximum depth — and bring them to the showroom or send them to us.
Step 2: Pick the family
Each Incanto family (i775, i839, i873, i764, i765, i768, i829, i952 and others) has a fixed seat width and arm style. The i775 and i873 are the most configurable and have the deepest seats; the i764 and i765 are lower and more tailored; the i829 and i952 are family-sized with power on most seats. Sit in two or three families first, because seat depth and back height are the things you can't change later.
Step 3: Decide on power
Most Incanto sectionals offer power recline and power headrests on individual seats. You don't need every seat powered — a common setup is power on the two or three seats people actually sit in, and stationary seats on the ends. Each powered seat needs a nearby outlet or a floor plug; tell us where your outlets are.
Step 4: Chaise, bumper, or corner
A chaise is an arm-side seat with an extended footrest built in. A bumper is a backless end that lets someone sit sideways or lie down. A corner turns the sectional 90 degrees. Left-arm-facing (LAF) and right-arm-facing (RAF) refer to where the arm is when you're looking at the sectional from the front. If you're not sure which you need, take a photo of the room from the doorway.
Step 5: Console and leather
A console between two seats adds cup holders, a storage bin and USB charging, and it's the single most requested add-on. Then choose the leather: Incanto offers top-grain Italian leather in a wide color range; in-stock colors deliver in days, custom colors are special ordered, typically 10–14 weeks.
